For April, the PS5 game Stellar Blade was the top-selling game of the month. It also rocketed up the charts to become the No. 16 best-selling game of 2024 overall after just one month.
Total spending on game software rose 2% to $3.736 billion in April. However, hardware sales tanked by 43%, falling to $208 million, while accessories spending dropped 4% to $152 million. Overall, across games, hardware, and accessories, total spending on video games in the US for April 2024 slid 3% to $4.096 billion.
