According to a report from The Verge's Tom Warren, a new Combat Evolved remaster is in early development and could be considered for a PS5 release as part of Microsoft's new strategy of bringing previously exclusive titles to competitors.
Xbox has already started multi-platform efforts with games like Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, and Sea of Thieves on PS5 and/or Nintendo Switch, following concerns post podcast about its strategy, as revealed by Warren.
