Developer Sucker Punch has confirmed that players will need a PlayStation Network account in order to play the multiplayer portion of Ghost of Tsushima on PC.
A PSN account is required for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends multiplayer mode and the PlayStation Overlay feature on PC, connecting players to the PlayStation ecosystem.
However, a PSN account is not needed to play Ghost of Tsushima's single-player campaign.
Sony faced backlash when initially requiring PC players to link a PSN account for Helldivers 2, resulting in refunds from Steam before eventually reversing the decision.
