The 42nd annual Mermaid Parade is known as the nation's largest art parade and will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. Street closures in Brooklyn are at the discretion of the NYPD and the city Department of Transportation.
The Mermaid Parade pays tribute to Coney Island ingenuity and celebrates the artistic vision of the masses. It features a crowned King Neptune, Queen Mermaid, sea creatures, marching bands, and more.
