New model allows a computer to understand human emotions
Briefly

According to Jussi Jokinen, Associate Professor of Cognitive Science, the model could predict when a user will become annoyed or anxious, enabling the computer to provide additional instructions or redirect the interaction.
The model from University of Jyväskylä can predict user emotions like happiness, boredom, irritation, rage, despair, and anxiety, aiming to address the current lack of machine understanding.
"Humans naturally interpret and react to each other's emotions, a capability that machines fundamentally lack," explains Jokinen, emphasizing the frustration when computers are oblivious to user emotions.
