Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich pressed White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt about President Donald Trump's prior threats to take Greenland. Heinrich asked why a U.S. military takeover was not ruled out, and whether the president recognized Denmark's ownership of Greenland. Leavitt declined to rule out options, saying past leaders often publicly ruled things out and broadcast foreign policy, which this president does not do. Leavitt said all options remain on the table as the president evaluates U.S. interests, but that diplomacy has been his first option. Leavitt added she had not heard the president question Denmark's sovereignty.
