"'First up is Microsoft, who my team has been working with, and which will make major changes beginning this week to ensure that Americans don't 'pick up the tab' for their POWER consumption, in the form of paying higher Utility bills,'"
President Trump described data centers as "key" to the AI boom while insisting tech companies must "pay their own way" to avoid higher utility bills for Americans. He identified Microsoft as the first company his team has worked with and announced that Microsoft will make major changes beginning this week to prevent Americans from "picking up the tab" for power consumption. The White House and Microsoft did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
