""You sound pretty confident. How about a friendly bet?" Healey said in the video, wearing a Drake Maye jersey. "I talked to the people of Massachusetts, OK? So in the unlikely event you win, here's what we're going to send you." Healey promised to ship Legal Sea Foods' clam chowder, lobster rolls, and East Coast oysters. "And I hear you don't have very good coffee out there, so we're gonna throw in some Dunkin'," she quipped."
""In Massachusetts, we're proud of our championship lineage and just as proud of the waterfront heritage that put New England seafood on the map," King said in a statement. "Our local seafood has the same personality, saltiness, and intensity Bostonians are known for. If Seattle wins, we'll send a proper sampling, but we like our chances. We'll take that coffee after we're up late celebrating.""
"On the flip side of the bet, Ferguson promised that if the Patriots win, he'll send Healey "some of the best shellfish and coffee in the world.""
Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey placed a friendly wager with Washington Governor Bob Ferguson ahead of Super Bowl LX. Healey promised to send Legal Sea Foods' clam chowder, lobster rolls, East Coast oysters and Dunkin' coffee if the Patriots lose. Ferguson countered that he would send "some of the best shellfish and coffee in the world" if the Patriots win. Legal Sea Foods' president Matt King endorsed the wager and offered a proper seafood sampling if Seattle wins. Healey will attend Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara as part of a work trip and is expected to return after the game on Monday.
