Suk Min Choi, 24, who runs a YouTube channel under the name Alex Choi, was charged Thursday with causing the placement of an explosive or incendiary device on an aircraft.
Choi is also accused of failing to secure permits and waivers required to film with a helicopter and to use fireworks on the federally owned land.
Choi said he conceived the stunt to make 'the craziest Fourth of July video involving cars and fireworks.'
