Over the last four months, The New York Times has been speaking with undecided voters after some of the most dramatic moments of the presidential campaign.
Some of them shifted their decisions over the course of the campaign. Others will decide when they step into the booth. While a lot has happened over the last few months, poll numbers have remained largely stable.
I was looking for Trump to demonstrate how he had evolved after Jan. 6. That really, really disturbed me, and I was looking to him to be hopefully a different type of leader.
I needed to try to keep my mind as open as I possibly could throughout the process to come to what would normally not be my normal decision and vote for a Democrat.
