Strike Over Campus Protests Expands to U.C. Davis and U.C.L.A.
Briefly

An ongoing strike by academic workers in the University of California system challenging the handling of pro-Palestinian demonstrations is extending to U.C.L.A. and U.C. Davis. This comes following the initial walkout at U.C. Santa Cruz.
The union, U.A.W. 4811, representing graduate students and academic workers, accuses the university of creating an unsafe work environment and changing free speech policies in response to protests.
University officials view the strike as an unlawful act to push a political agenda and have filed for an injunction to cease the walkout. U.A.W. president, Rafael Jaime, stated the strike is authorized through June 30.
