Rain and Floods Hit New Mexico Region Ravaged by Wildfires
Briefly

Heavy rain and flash flooding hit a part of southern New Mexico where two fast-moving wildfires continued to rage... blazes were still expected to continue for several days.
The South Fork fire has burned more than 16,000 acres and destroyed 1,400 structures, including about 500 homes.
Two people were found dead in or near the village of Ruidoso, N.M., with one victim identified as Patrick Pearson, 60, found with burns near a motel.
Flash-flood emergency declared for Ruidoso as torrential rain causes water rescues and flood warnings, impacting New Mexico counties.
