Winters in UK and Ireland are becoming even wetter due to climate crisis
Briefly

Autumn and winter rainfall in the UK and Ireland has become much heavier due to climate change, causing damaging floods. Heavy rainfall in the region will persist until global emissions are reduced to net zero.
The storms in 2023-24 resulted in severe flooding, power outages, crop and livestock losses, and waterlogged fields, impacting both urban and agricultural areas.
The UK experienced its warmest February on record, with the south having the wettest February since 1836. East Anglia also broke records for rainfall and temperature.
