Rail strikes threat averted as RMT workers accept pay deal
Briefly

Rail workers have voted overwhelmingly to accept pay offers of over 4 per cent from train companies, marking the conclusion of the long-standing national rail dispute.
The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) has confirmed that the ballot results indicate the end of a prolonged national rail dispute that has significantly affected services.
RMT members showed strong support for the deal, with 89 per cent of Network Rail members voting in favor, while nearly all train operating company members (99 per cent) accepted the agreement.
The recent vote follows last week's pay rise acceptance by ASLEF union train drivers, which illustrates a favorable shift towards workers' pay negotiations, likely reducing future strike action.
