Independent Ireland secured 21 local council seats despite being in existence for just eight months. It is noted that they had no resources except volunteers going out to engage with the public on critical issues.
Mr. Collins pointed out that there is still potential to secure additional seats and remain competitive in several European constituencies. He also mentioned receiving interest from elected Independent councillors to join their party.
