Can't access device storage message on Mac when using Android File Transfer app is misleading. Solution: Select 'Transfer files (MTP)' on Android device notifications tab.
Selecting 'USB for charging' notification on Android device settings and choosing 'Transfer files (MTP)' resolves the issue. Android File Transfer app will then function smoothly on Mac and Windows devices.
