The weapon XP earn rate in the Black Ops 6 beta is much slower than intended, taking multiple games to unlock even basic attachments, leading to player frustration.
Lawrence Metten, associate design director at Treyarch, acknowledged the issues with weapon levelling speed in the beta, stating, ‘We’ll be buffing weapon XP for Weekend Two. The current weapon levelling speeds are slower than intended.’
Players have expressed mixed feelings about the new movement mechanics and changes in the Black Ops 6 beta, but there's consensus on the frustratingly slow weapon XP gain.
Treyarch has addressed player complaints by confirming that adjustments to the weapon XP earn rate will occur for the second beta weekend, which starts September 6.
