Amazon is raising hourly wages for its warehouse workers by at least $1.50 an hour, increasing the average base wage to over $22 an hour.
The pay increases take effect this month, benefiting hundreds of thousands of employees in Amazon's extensive logistics operation.
In addition to wage hikes, Amazon will add Prime memberships to the benefits package for its employees, starting in early next year.
