Safe Superintelligence (SSI), co-founded by ex-OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, has raised over $1 billion, valuing the company at $5 billion.

Sutskever, previously leading OpenAI's Superalignment team, left after tensions arose with OpenAI board members, specifically highlighting a breakdown in communications.
