San Jose police officers were called just after 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 30 for a report of a shooting at a hotel in the 1300 block of North Fourth Street.
An ensuing investigation identified 29-year-old Fernando Macias, a San Jose resident, as a suspect in the shooting.
Police have not released additional details, including the motive and leadup to the shooting.
