New image of supermassive black hailed 'milestone in astronomy'

More than 300 researchers from around the world used the Event Horizon Telescope to capture an image of Sagittarius A* with its electric orange swirls and magnetic fields, resembling the Eye of Sauron.
Sara Issaoun from Harvard highlighted the importance of the organized magnetic fields near Sagittarius A*, similar to those of M87* black hole, in understanding how black holes interact with their surroundings.
