Blue Origin launches first crewed mission in over a year
Briefly

Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket successfully completed its first crewed mission since September 2022, flying six private citizens above the Karman line. Former U.S. Air Force Captain Ed Dwight, at 90, became the oldest person to fly to space. The mission lasted around 10 minutes with a top speed of 2,236 mph and an altitude of 351,111 ft.
During the landing, only two out of the three main parachutes on the crew capsule inflated, which is a previously prepared contingency by Blue Origin. The first stage booster successfully landed, but it's uncertain if the Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the parachute issue and its impact on future launches.
