Belichick has only interviewed with one team this offseason in the Atlanta Falcons. And while he was once tabbed as a frontrunner for that head-coaching vacancy, Atlanta ultimately opted to hire Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris.
Granted, ESPN's Mike Reiss reported this weekend that Belichick is willing to wait for the right opportunity to arise rather than rush into a poor situation.
"I added the Giants because it's been long believed he would love to go back to the place where he won a pair of Super Bowls as defensive coordinator, and because the team took a nosedive in 2023 after a playoff berth in 2022," Florio wrote.
