Waymo now allows anyone in San Francisco to hail self-driving robotaxis using the Waymo app and a credit card, eliminating the previous waitlist and invite codes system.
Waymo has about 300 vehicles in SF and is expanding services, showing a significant growth from only offering limited rides in Phoenix in 2020.
