Honey Mahogany, the RuPaul's Drag Race contestant, has been named the head of San Francisco's Transgender Initiatives Office by Mayor London Breed.
Mahogany, the first Black trans person elected in California, brings over two decades of LGBTQ+ advocacy and community activism experience to her new role in the Office of Transgender Initiatives.
