The people who won't give up at Tahoe's biggest, grueling race
Briefly

This year at the Broken Arrow Skyrace, participants faced a grueling trail race at Lake Tahoe with a challenging course - starting with an immediate vertical climb and following that with a difficult descent.
The race organizers provided free entrance to the 18-kilometer race for people of color running clubs, set up village tents for the clubs near the finish line, and planned a festival-like atmosphere with various activities and a stipend for travel expenses.
Patricia Rojas, a biotech scientist and co-founder of the Santa Mujeres Running Club, faced unexpected challenges in the race last year due to heavy snow on the course, unlike her usual runs in San Diego.
