"It's weird how it goes sometimes," Dunbar said, reflecting on his unexpected success after a challenging start and a shift from general classification to stage win.
"I had a really bad start to the race. I lost a lot of time. I came here to ride GC and... didn't have the legs to do it," he explained, acknowledging his difficulties.
Dunbar emphasized the importance of strategy, saying, "Me and Pippo rode very well, we were really smart, and here we are. I actually can't believe it!"
Reflecting on his win, Dunbar noted, "It's been a while since I've been in a scenario like this... I just kind of used my experience" to secure the victory.
