Bankers fired for 'simulating' being at their keyboards

Wall Street bank Wells Fargo fired over a dozen employees for simulating keyboard activity to create the impression of active work. 'Mouse jigglers' became popular during the pandemic for deceiving employers about productivity.
Barclays and Citigroup are requiring workers to return to the office in response to Finra's tightened regulations. Wells Fargo also expects most employees to be in the office three days a week.
