The perhaps ironically named 'Reforming Intelligence and Security America Act (RISAA)' greatly expands government surveillance authority, particularly under Section 702 of FISA, without substantial reforms or protections for Americans' constitutional rights and privacy.
While Section 702 is supposed to target foreigners abroad, the NSA and FBI end up acquiring significant amounts of innocent Americans' communications 'incidentally,' leading to backdoor, warrantless searches of this data.
