This Wisconsin pipeline proposal could cause a catastrophic spill on tribal lands
Briefly

"The pipeline transports up to 23 million gallons of oil and natural gas daily, and the reroute proposed by Enbridge does not eliminate the risk of a catastrophic spill, especially since it remains so close to our waters," said Bad River Chair Robert Blanchard, emphasizing the urgency of protecting the reservation from potential environmental disasters.
"Construction of the new route around the reservation could exacerbate erosion and runoff, impacting scores of waterways that would remain vulnerable in the event of a spill. Enbridge’s safety record is concerning, with previous incidents showing their pipelines can fail catastrophically," said a representative from the National Wildlife Federation.
