Councillor Diana Collymore has been suspended from the Labour Party following an incident in which she verbally abused a parking warden after receiving a ticket for illegal parking.
The civil enforcement officer lodged a complaint against Cllr Collymore, stating she threatened to report him to immigration services and made derogatory comments regarding his personal status.
Despite appealing against the parking ticket, the council decided to uphold the warden's complaint, supported by video evidence, while partially upholding Collymore's claims about the officer's comments.
Cllr Collymore later requested to apologize to the warden, which resulted in a meeting where the warden accepted her apology, showcasing an attempt for reconciliation.
