The stage for Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2026 menswear show, designed by Bijoy Jain, featured a reimagined Snakes and Ladders game board outside The Centre Pompidou. This installation, marking Jain’s first collaboration with Louis Vuitton and men's creative director Pharrell Williams, reflects South Asian influence and aims to evoke a sense of ascension. The set, spanning 2,700 square meters, boasts earthen hues and tactile details that invite exploration and elevate the classic game into an experiential art piece, seamlessly integrated into the Paris Fashion Week context.
Bijoy Jain described his vision for the installation as 'a cosmic diagram... like a mandala, set in the idea of a game where everybody has to ascend.'
The show is staged across a sprawling 2,700-square-meter grid, with several vibrant serpents cutting through, their paths crossing with textile-rendered ladders that beckoned ascension.
Jain's approach combines earthen tones and textures to elevate the beloved board game into a vast spatial experience, reflecting South Asia's inspiration.
Pharrell Williams cited South Asia as a key inspiration for the collection, showcasing a blend of cultural heritage and modern fashion forwardness.
