A 291-Square-Foot Apartment in the Heart of Paris Gets Innovative With Storage
Briefly

Architect Joshua Florquin of Florquin Studio transformed a run-down Paris apartment into a functional yet elegant mini hotel suite. The design opened up the two-room layout while maintaining distinct spaces through a platform bed with concealed storage. A large living area features a custom travertine table and Mediterranean-style kitchen, combining earthy tones and inviting designs to accommodate both living and working needs. This innovative approach ensures comfort for both the owner and their child during summer stays.
The owner wanted to live there half the year and have his child stay with him in the summer, so he envisioned the place as a mini hotel suite, with all the necessary amenities and lots of storage.
We concealed storage space underneath it to maximize space and functionality while maintaining a clean and elegant look, with little nooks where you can sit, chat, or read a book on the steps.
The table serves as both a workspace and a dining area, inviting conversation and offering a flexible living experience.
The living area is arranged around a sofa and a custom table in red Persian travertine, creating a Mediterranean style with earthy tones.
