Who's Afraid of Brain Worms?
Briefly

According to a 2012 deposition, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. once suffered from, in his own words, 'a worm that got into my brain and ate a portion of it and then died.' Some experts suspect it was neurocysticercosis, caused by larvae of the pork tapeworm, Taenia solium.
Neurocysticercosis (NCC) is a common brain infection caused by the pork tapeworm. The larvae migrate to the brain where they form cysts, leading to possible epilepsy. It's not an actual worm eating the brain, but a tape worm.
NCC typically originates from exposure to pork tapeworm eggs in feces, leading to larvae hatching in the gut and then migrating through the body, eventually reaching the brain. The larvae enclose themselves into cysts in the brain.
