This sleek new L.A. commuter train is pollution-free
Briefly

The new hydrogen-powered ZEMU train emits only water vapor, operating without any climate emissions or air pollution, making it an innovative alternative for rail transport.
"It's great for us to be able to recuperate that energy so we can make the efficiency of the train even higher, and the range better," says Kaden Killpack from Stadler U.S.
Tim Watkins states, "The reality is it can be used anywhere existing rail happens now. It doesn't require a new capital investment into infrastructure."
Metrolink will begin regular service with the hydrogen train in early 2025, highlighting the shift toward zero-emission transportation solutions.
