Those who had heard of the condition online were more likely to fear holes and be 'trypophobic'. Researchers believe the internet could be fueling this phobia.
The study conducted by University of Essex researchers found a correlation between internet exposure to trypophobia and increased fear levels in participants shown triggering images.
