Mount Everest is getting TALLER by the day and has already grown 164ft
Briefly

Researchers from University College London discovered that Mount Everest has already grown between 15 to 50m (49-164ft) in the past 89,000 years due to river erosion.
Curiously, the experts found that the mountain is pushed upwards by the liquid mantle as the rivers erode nearby material, effectively making Everest grow taller.
Co-author Adam Smith notes that Everest's anomalous height is due to the nearby river systems, making it a unique mountain, significantly taller than its counterparts.
According to Dr. Jin-Gen Dai, the Arun and Kosi rivers engage in a unique erosion process that is crucial to Everest's ongoing growth.
