Hawaii once had glaciers. They're now the site of an Ice Age Reserve.
Briefly

"It's very easy to see them on Google Earth. They stand out very easily from the surrounding territory," said Nick Agorastos, emphasizing the visibility of the Maunakea Adze Quarry.
"The volcanism coming up through some sort of ice cap created interesting geology and geologic features, which is why it's called the Ice Age Natural Area Reserve," explained Agorastos.
The glaciers existed between 13,000 and 70,000 years ago, leaving behind debris and groove marks from the moving ice, indicating their past presence.
The Ice Age Natural Area Reserve includes not only geological features but also significant archaeological history linked to generations of Native Hawaiians.
