Earth set to be hit by G4 solar flare storms
Briefly

The agency's Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) has been observing solar flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs) from a sunspot 16 times wider than our home world.
CMEs, containing billions of tons of charged particles, can travel at speeds from 250 to 3,000 kilometers per second, with potential consequences for electronic infrastructure and devices.
NASA cautioned that a solar flare in February could have disrupted communications on Earth and in space, highlighting the importance of preparedness for potential impacts of solar storms.
The SWPC warns of possible interferences with communications, the power grid, navigation, radio, and satellite operations due to the impending CMEs, recommending precautions to be taken by the relevant systems' maintainers.
