Astronomers Find Lonely Starless Planets That Drift Through the Darkness of Space All by Themselves
Briefly

The Euclid space telescope has discovered seven more rogue planets, shining a light on the dark and lonely worlds floating freely through the universe untethered to any star.
Using cutting-edge instruments, Euclid found seven more rogue planets than previously known, revealing the existence of these overlooked worlds in our universe.
"We've all grown up with the Sun in the sky, and so to think of a planet just drifting throughout space with no star on their horizon is fascinating," marveled Gavin Coleman.
Unless rogue planets possess unknown internal energy sources, the potential for supporting life on them seems unlikely, according to Queen Mary University of London astronomer Gavin Coleman.
