Yankees 3, Mariners 6: No Flair against this Woo
Briefly

A big three-run home run in the seventh inning gave the boys in pinstripes some late life, but Woo's start and relentless Seattle needling set the Yankees up for their second-straight loss, a 6-3 variety against the AL West leading M's - their first back-to-back losses since late April in Baltimore.
The sinker-cutter combo is designed to live around the edges of the zone, moving away from or into the batter's hands depending on the approach. Schmidt just never had a feel for the two moving fastballs, leaving a solid chunk over the heart of the plate and then missing just enough for the hitter to take and the umpire to call a ball.
