Stroman joined the Yankees this season on a multi-year contract. All parties agreed to try and leave the past behind and so far it's fair to say Stroman's relationship with the average Yankees fan has vastly improved.
His tenure with the Yankees is nascent, but Stroman's relationship with fans is much, much better now. Stroman is genuinely liked and respected by most Yankees supporters.
In 56 innings in the Bronx, he has accumulated a 3.05 ERA and 48 strikeouts, even earning a standing ovation as he left his last outing on Monday.
Stroman not only is a very solid pitcher, but he is also a good teammate. He is always among the first ones to greet players as they enter the dugout, willing to go out of his way.
