For the first time since suffering an upper-body injury on Nov. 24, Islanders defenseman Adam Pelech participated in line rushes on Tuesday ahead of New York's tilt with the Vancouver Canucks at UBS Arena.
His return will help bolster a defense that has sagged this season a far cry from their identity of the last five years allowing the 11th-most goals in the NHL.
