Angela Banks, who faced homelessness after a stroke and job loss, celebrated her graduation from Camillus House’s job training programs, which empower people through skill development.
"Everything just fell apart," she said, reflecting on how she lost her job and faced eviction, highlighting the desperate circumstances leading to her instability.
Camillus House's CEO, Eddie Gloria remarked, "By giving people skills that will empower them and give them the ability to participate, we also help Miami meet its workforce needs.”
Chef Frank Ferrara praised the graduates, stating, "Some people didn't have a bed every night," emphasizing the resilience and commitment of those pursuing these programs.
