Keven Antonio Lourenco De Morais received a hospital order after admitting to manslaughter by diminished responsibility for stabbing his flatmate in Wembley. The victim, Ms Kontham, was a bright Master's graduate who was on her way back to India to get married. Her sudden death has left her family devastated.
Lourenco De Morais was charged with murder and attempted murder, pleading guilty to manslaughter by diminished responsibility and the attempted murder. He was sentenced to a hospital order under the Mental Health Act and a restriction order. The Detective Inspector described the incident as devastating for all involved.
