Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane had an altercation with an Arsenal fan that led to a common assault charge. Law alleges Keane elbowing him, while law enforcement suggests Keane may have raised his elbow to grab Law, with no evidence of a deliberate elbow to the face.
Detective Constable Phil Dickinson mentioned that in his opinion, Keane raised his elbow to grab hold of the defendant, but it did not appear to be a deliberate attempt to elbow him in the face. Defense barrister Charles Sherrard KC disputed this and accused the officer of lying to favor the prosecution.
