Galliano shared new details about the look in the Hulu docuseries, "In Vogue: The 90s," which premiered on Friday. "It was like a blessing. I mean like, wow," Galliano said in the series.
Galliano also revealed that the dress originally had a corset, but he said the princess removed it without telling him. "Fast-forward to the event, and I just remember her getting out of the car," Galliano said. "I couldn't believe it. She'd ripped the corset out."
"She felt so liberated. She'd torn the corset out. The dress was much more... sensuous," he added.
Diana's daring style had evolved long before she officially parted ways with the royal family. In 1994, Diana wore a black off-the-shoulder bodycon dress by Christina Stambolian shortly after Charles admitted to having an affair in a TV interview.
