Candido Rodriguez, 51, stabbed ex-girlfriend Melanie Woods to death in her apartment after she returned from walking her dog. 25th Precinct responded to a wellness check and found Woods dead with multiple stab wounds and a laceration to her neck.
Rodriguez allegedly went to Woods' home, and chaos was heard upon her return. He left the scene and was later indicted on Murder in the Second Degree for brutally killing Woods.
