The man, Shant Soghomonian, used an accelerant and a lighter to start a fire outside Senator Bernie Sanders's office. No injuries were reported as the sprinklers extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived.
Officials did not provide a motive for the fire. Senator Sanders was not in the office at the time. If convicted, the suspect could face up to 20 years in prison.
