Campus Police Chief Is Put on Leave After Arizona State Arrests
Briefly

Arizona State University placed the chief of its campus police department, Michael Thompson, on leave after complaints were filed about his actions during the break-up of a pro-Palestinian demonstration in late April.
Twenty Arizona State students were arrested during the demonstration and subsequently filed a lawsuit against the Arizona Board of Regents for violating their First Amendment rights.
Reports also emerged that police had removed a woman's hijab during the arrests, with the general counsel's office reviewing these allegations.
Azza Abuseif from the Council on American-Islamic Relations called for a full investigation regarding the reports of misconduct during the arrests.
